GT1 delivers speed and quality

Heat sealing specialist Proseal has launched an enhanced version of its top-selling F45 Tray Sealer to meet the demanding requirements of high-speed food production lines.

Renamed the GT1, the new model follows the successful introduction of the larger GT2 last year and incorporates the same improvements and new features that enable the machine to perform even more efficiently than its predecessor, combined with ease of operation, fast changeovers, improved access, and Proseal’s proven reputation for exceptional reliability.

 

Central to the GT1’s operation is its advanced Touch Screen Control. The Touch Screen delivers full graphical operator interface that allows complete machine and tooling set up to be fully ‘recipe’ controlled, meaning all settings are easily stored for fast retrieval. The Touch Screen can also be viewed and controlled remotely from any PC and provides detailed production data and monitoring and full diagnostics.

 

The screen is housed in an articulated panel, which allows dual-side control and operation of the machine to provide full flexibility during production.

Speeds have been increased through the introduction of a servo-driven infeed conveyor and a high accuracy tray positioning system. An intelligent film feed system provides enhanced control of the sealing system for improved seal quality, with easy film threading and dynamic control of the movement of the film throughout the film feed cycle in order to maintain constant tension.

The machine retains Proseal’s pioneering Auto-Tool’ connection system that enables tool changes to be carried out in around three minutes. Downtime can also be minimised with the inclusion of options such as ‘film end warning’ and an auto-lock film reel holder.

 

The GT1 has been designed to be easily accessible for assembly, maintenance and wash down. Conveyor belt arrangements can be simply replaced with minimum assembly, while conveyor bearings have been upgraded to hygiene-friendly plastic housed roller bearings.

The tray sealer is manufactured to food industry approved hygiene standards with full wash-down protection.
